Welcome to THANKFUL TUESDAY everyone! If you have been following my blog for a while you know just how much my clients mean to me. Today, we are visiting with a special Disney family, the Cains. My clients are clients for only a few moments and then friends forever. This family has been traveling to Disney for years and still appreciates all the special magic around every corner. Thank you so much for sharing your life today!
What is your Disney background?
We are a family of four and we have always loved Disney! We have been to Disney World more times than we can count, and love creating wonderful memories together in the Happiest Place On Earth! :)
Tell me about your recent visit to Walt Disney World.
We Stayed at Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge, and this was our second time staying there.
Were you celebrating a special occasion while you were there?
No :)
What is it that you love most about Disney?
People of all ages can come to Disney and feel like a kid again! It's a place where families can create memories together, and no matter what the ages are in your group there's something for everyone to do! :)
What is your favorite park?
Our favorite park is Magic Kingdom! We always try to start out our vacation at Magic Kingdom. There's just something about walking down Main Street and seeing the Castle, and getting that magical feeling of being in Disney World!
What is your favorite resort?
We have stayed at many Disney resorts in the past including Grand Floridian, Pop Century, Polynesian, Wilderness Lodge, Wilderness Family Homes, and the Contemporary. But we fell in love with Disney's Animal Kingdom Lodge the first time we stayed there a few years ago, and it has become our favorite resort to stay at! The ambiance is amazing, and there's so much to do there! We love watching the animals, and one of our favorite restaurants at Disney, Boma, is there!
What is your favorite ride? Show? Fireworks show?
Our favorite ride is Toy Story Mania at Hollywood Studios! We love competing against each other to see who can score the most points! Our favorite fireworks show is Wishes! It's the perfect way to end a magical day at Magic Kingdom.
Do you enjoy park hopping or saving the money and doing one park per day?
We like getting the park hopper because it allows us to start out at one park and then switch over to another if there's something we want to specifically do at that park.
What did you think of the Magic Bands?
We were a little skeptical about the new magic bands at first, but we ended up loving them! If one of us had to go back to the room for something we could easily get in using our magic bands, and didn't have to worry about keeping up with a room key! We used them for the dining plan as well, and paying for meals or snack credits were really easy!
What about the new Fast Pass + system?
We miss the old Fast Pass system! With the new Fast Pass + you're more limited on how many Fast Passes you can get for the day. You can only have up to three fast passes at only one park per day, which makes it hard if you're park hopping.
What is your number one must-do for a new visitor?
Before coming to Disney do some research and learn everything that Disney has to offer! There's so much to see and do that it can be overwhelming for first time visitors!
What is your best tip for Disney visitors?
Avoid coming to the parks early in the morning! If you have younger children this may be hard, but typically the parks are more crowded early in the morning! We use this opportunity to visit other resorts or get some shopping in at Downtown Disney, and get to the parks in the afternoon and stay later. The later it gets the shorter the lines are usually! :)
What is your best memory, so far, of Disney?
We have a lot of wonderful memories from all of our family trips to Disney, but one that we will never forget is the time we went to Disney World during the Year of A Million Dreams celebration, and a cast member came up to us and asked if we would like to watch the fireworks from the deck of the Astro Orbitor ride! We will never forget standing up there watching the fireworks, feeling special because we were chosen to watch the fireworks from a special viewing area! :)
What are you most looking forward to for your next visit?
We are definitely looking forward to riding the new Seven Dwarfs Mine Train ride, which opens later this spring!
